The chloroform extraction of the 4-heptanone oxime complex of palladium(II) chloride

Summary

A study of the effect of pH on the chloroform extraction of the 4-heptanone oxime complex of palladium(II) chloride from aqueous-alcohol solution is presented. At least 99% of the palladium(II) taken is extracted into chloroform from 1M hydrochloric acid solution while iron(III) and nickel(II) are not extracted in macroscopic amounts under the same conditions.

Zusammenfassung

Der Einfluß des pH auf die Chloroformextraktion des Palladium(II)-chloridkomplexes mit 4-Heptanonoxim aus wäßrig-alkoholischer Lösung wurde untersucht. 99% des eingesetzten Pd(II) lassen sich aus 1-n Salzsäure mit Chloroform extrahieren, während Fe(III) und Ni(II) unter den gleichen Bedingungen in makroskopischen Mengen nicht extrahiert werden.
