Summary
Unsteady laminar flow of an elastico-viscous Oldroyd fluid in a straight duct of uniform crosssection is considered. A method for calculating drag from flux without solving for the velocity field is established and is illustrated through some examples.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird die nicht-stationäre Strömung einer viskoelastischen Oldroyd-Flüssigkeit in einem geraden Rohr mit beliebigem Querschnitt untersucht. Eine Methode zur Berechnung des Reibungswiderstandes unmittelbar aus dem Volumenstrom ohne explizite Kenntnis des Geschwindigkeitsfeldes wird angegeben und anhand einiger Beispiele veranschaulicht.
