On décrit la disposition précise des contacts synaptiques réalisée par deux gigantesques neurones contenant de la sérotonine (GSC) avec d'autre neurones dans la cervelle de l'escargotHelix pomatia. Quelques neurones sont innervés deux fois par chaque GSC.
