Zusammenfassung

Durch alkalische Hydrolyse wird Reserpin in Reserpinsäure, 3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzoesäure und Methanol gespalten. Das Esteralkaloid liess sich aus diesen Spaltstücken wieder resynthetisieren.
