Conclusions
By measuring the static and dynamic pressures of sand in a steel tube, the authors have tested a new type of gauge for the pressure of a loose material on a wall. The experimental data agree with the theretical results. During gravity flow of sand in a tube the dynamic pressures are pulsating and are greater than the static pressures.
