On the stochestic behaviour of an intermittent system with stand-by redundancy

Abstract

The behaviour of an intermittently working system having two types of components has been investigated. Components are assumed to be connected in series in one class and in standby redundancy in the other class. In both the classes components follow exponential failure, repair and general waiting time distributions. The idle and recall time is also assumed to follow exponential distribution. The Laplace transform of probability of the system being in various states has been obtained. A particular case also been discussed.
