Abstract

The equations which describe the hydrostatic equilibrium of a relativistic stellar configuration inD space-time dimensions (D ≥/ 4) with a spherical symmetric gravitational field are obtained. With suitable transformations, the equations of mass continuity and of hydrostatic equilibrium are given in a non-dimensional form. With the obtained equations the homogeneous stellar model is studied and some stability criteria are obtained inD (D ≥/ 4) space-time dimensions.
