Summary

The authors, after a short discussion on the methods and the theorical principles of thein vitro T-3 resin uptake test, expose their results obtained in 87 normal subjects of different ages, in 82 patients with thyroid diseases and in 44 patients after therapeutic treatments. Finally they analyze the correlation between this test and other tests of thyroid function. The authors come to the conclusion that this test is very useful especially when it is not possible to carry out other tests of thyroid function as well as when these tests are not reliable enough.
