Modernity of Halphen’s variations on a theme of Monge

Abstract

We construct a \(\mathbb {Z}\)/3\(\mathbb {Z}\)-slice to the natural action of \({ PGL}(V)\) on the variety of smooth arcs in the projective space \(\mathbb {P}(V)\).
