Transesophageal images of the preoperative LA and LAA: the LA was free of mass and no alteration of its walls, the LAA is empty and in the normal position. Perioperative transesophageal echocardiogram documented the pointed-hook appendage in the LA and increasing of the flow velocity into the left superior pulmonary vein. (MP4 38239 kb)
