Abstract

An irreducible tensor basis is used to analyse a triple quantum NMR experiment, using hard rf pulses, carried out on the 23Na nuclei in a single crystal of sodium periodate. In particular, the creation and detection of a T33(a) multipolar state is presented and discussed.
