Abstract

The optical absorption edge in ferromagnetic semiconductors is calculated for any temperature, taking essentially into account the local perturbation produced by conduction electrons on the magnetic lattice. For narrow band and strong electron-lattice interaction, there is a smooth temperature shift around the Curie point.
