The arizona telemedicine program

The Arizona Telemedicine Program (ATP), funded by state funding and grants, was established in May 1997 to enhance health care delivery to medically underserved populations throughout the state using telemedicine technologies. The program was founded on 8 core policies,15 key of which were:

Success in telemedicine is dependent on a wide variety of factors including strong institutional support, a solid business model,34, 35, 36, 37, 38 enthusiastic and dedicated personnel, and continued acceptance and adoption of telemedicine worldwide.
