Moreover, it is important to note that the well-known Se–TGA reaction producing selenium trisulfides [33,34] was unlikely under these conditions as a QD interaction mechanism, since the rupture of inherent Cd–S bonds will cause fluorescence quenching [35]. Experimental conditions were evaluated in order to obtain greater sensitivity in Se determination.
