Impurity-Vk centres' associations in KI crystals containing lighter halogens

Abstract

An attempt has been made to put in evidence the modified VK centres in low temperature UV irradiated KI : Cl crystals. The interpretation of the results seems to favour a new type of VK centre localised near an impurity halogen instead of a heteronuclear VK centre.
