2013, Health and PlaceCitation Excerpt :Furthermore, knowledge about environmental exposure to alcohol may help explain why interventions are successful in some places (or populations) and not in others (Gruenewald, 2011). At present there is a dearth of such research in the UK (Room, 2006). The findings presented here suggest that data required to measure alcohol availability is mostly stored within local authorities, but accessing and preparing these data for use are problematic.
