High oxidation state organomolybdenum and organotungsten chemistry in protic environments
2008, Coordination Chemistry ReviewsCitation Excerpt :Within Mo and W chemistry, most studies have been focused on mono- and bis(cyclopentadienyl) derivatives. The aqueous chemistry of bis(cyclopentadienyl)-molybdenum derivatives (molybdocenes) has been developed extensively, particularly by Tyler, and a review of this work has recently appeared in this journal [12], whereas related tungsten systems have been much less investigated in protic environments [13–15]. This family of materials will be excluded from the present review.
