Danny Hoyer is currently studying the molecular biology and pharmacology, transduction and classification of peptide and monoamine receptors. Neuroscience research at Novartis focuses on various aspects of pain, neurodegeneration and mental health, as exemplified by recent publications on GABAB, vanilloid, neurokinin, somatostatin, 5-HT and metabotropic glutamate receptor systems and animal models for Alzheimer's disease.

Horace Loh's research group focuses on the use of molecular biology and biochemical techniques to study the regulation of opioid receptor signaling with the goal to understand the molecular mechanism of opioid tolerance and physical dependence.
