Abstract

A theory is given for the structure present in the normal state optical conductivity that reflects the underlying spin fluctuations for a system in which the charge carriers interact through the antiferromagnetic spin susceptibility. Such an interaction involves strong momentum anisotropies and energy dependence that modulates the frequency dependence of the conductivity.
