Fluorescence Quantum Efficiencies of Octa-coordinated Europium Homogeneous and Mixed Chelates in Organic Solvents

Abstract

CERTAIN octa-coordinated europium chelates dissolved in organic solvents have been shown to be suitable liquid laser materials1–4. Determinations of fluorescence quantum efficiency for these compounds in solution are essential for their evaluation as potential candidates for efficient laser performance as well as for an understanding of the processes associated with the overall energy transfer.
