Murine Virus Leukaemogenesis: Relationship between Susceptibility and Immunodepression

Abstract

PREVIOUS studies have demonstrated that infection of BALB/c mice with a murine leukaemia virus such as Friend disease virus (FDV) before challenge immunization results in a profound depression of both the primary and secondary immune response1–8. The degree of immunological deficiency was directly related to the time interval between infection and immunization.
