Abstract
Rauscher murine leukaemia virus contains both a protein kinase and substrate proteins. The proteins phosphorylated seem to include the major structural components of the virus. The enzyme and substrate proteins are also found in other membrane-maturing viruses, including vesicular stomatitis virus.
