The interaction of dinitrogen complexes of rhenium and osmium with metal salts

Abstract

The reaction of [ReCl(N2)(Ph2PCH2·CH2·PPh2)2] with silver salts, cupric chloride, ferric chloride, or halogens produces salts of the anion [ReCl(N2)(Ph2PCH2·CH2·PPh2)2]+, and there is no suggestion of any bridged species.
