Catalytic synthesis of low molecular weight olefins from CO and H2 with Fe(CO)5, Fe3(CO)12, and [HFe3(CO)11] supported on inorganic oxides

Abstract

Fe(CO)5, Fe3(CO)12, and [HFe3(CO)11] supported on inorganic oxides such as Al2O3, La2O3, MgO, or SiO2, exhibit, after decomposition under CO + H2, a very high selectivity in Fischer–Tropsch syntheses for low molecular weight olefins.
