Re2O7/Al2O3·B2O3 metathesis catalysts

Abstract

Low-loading Re2O7/Al2O3·B2O3–MR4(M = Sn or Pb, R = alkyl) catalysts show high activity and selectivity at room temperature (293 ± 2 K) for the metathesis of functionalized alkenes; this is attributed to their strong Brönsted acidity.
