Copper(I)- and phase-transfer-catalysed iodination of terminal alkynes

Abstract

A convenient synthesis of 1-iodoalk-1-ynes is reported, involving copper(I)-catalysed iodination of terminal alkynes with molecular iodine under solid–liquid phase-transfer conditions.
