Abstract

We make a systematic study of the vortex structure for a dx2y2 superconductor as a function of the Ginzburg-Landau parameter κ=λ/ξ0 and the angles between the vortex direction and the crystalline axis. We find, for a vortex lying along the c axis, that the four satellite vortices in the induced s-wave component of the order parameter are stable only for large κ. When lying along the a axis the s-wave component presents a structure with a single vortex at the central core and winding number 1. For κ= we study the continuous evolution of the vortex between these two situations.
