Abstract
We present perturbation theory results for the Coulomb interactions between electrons, and between electrons and holes, in small quantum dots. The results are used to model both capacitance and interband spectroscopy on charge-tunable, self-assembled dots. At the level of the experimental resolution, currently limited by the inhomogeneous broadening in the dot ensemble, the model calculations reproduce the experimental results extremely well.
