Phenomenological approach to chiral - symmetry breaking

Abstract

It is shown that all meson-baryon and meson-meson σ terms which can be extracted from experiment can be reconciled with the (3, ¯3) chiral-symmetry-breaking scheme, H=u0+cu8, provided that c assumes the value c1.0.
