CP-nonconserving effects in quantum chromodynamics

Abstract

The instanton-generated CP-violating perturbation is shown to have a form 3θ¯mumdms(mumd+mums+mdms)(ψ¯iγ5ψ) for θ¯1. The induced neutron electric dipole moment, evaluated in the framework of the MIT bag model, is dn=8.2×1016θ¯e cm.
