We prove that, to leading order in the $\frac{1}{n}$ expansion, the nonlocal charge anomaly of the $\mathrm{C}{\mathrm{P}}^{n-1\mathrm{}}$ $\sigma$ model vanishes when fermions are coupled to it in a minimal or supersymmetric way.
