Mass Formulas for the ψ Particles in a Color Scheme

Abstract

We discuss possible mass spectroscopy of vector-meson states in a color scheme, namely the SU(3)′ ⊗ SU(3)″ scheme of Han and Nambu. Interesting mass formulas are derived under some dynamical assumptions. These are compared with those of Sanda and Terazawa. Two possible assignments for the ψ particles (including the one at ∼4.1 GeV) are considered.
