Multistability of Three-Wave Parametric Self-Trapping

Abstract

We reveal that three-wave parametric mixing in a diffractive quadratic (or χ(2)) medium can lead to multistability of self-guided beams. Switching between different stable states of these multivalued spatial solitary waves is also demonstrated.
