Observation of the $D_{s J} (2317)$ and $D_{s J} (2457)$ in $B$ Decays

Abstract

We report the first observation of the $B \to \bar{D} D_{s J} (2317)$ and $B \to \bar{D} D_{s J} (2457)$ decays based on $123.8 \times 10^{6}$ $B \bar{B}$ events collected with the Belle detector at KEKB. We observe the $D_{s J} (2317)$ decay to $D_{s} π^{0}$ and the $D_{s J} (2457)$ decay to the $D_{s}^{*} π^{0}$ and $D_{s} γ$ final states. We also set 90% C.L. upper limits for the decays $D_{s J} (2317) \to D_{s}^{*} γ$ , $D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s}^{*} γ$ , $D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s} π^{0}$ , and $D_{s J} (2457) \to D_{s} π^{+} π^{-}$ .
