Abstract

We show how a method of continued fractions of Horáček and Sasakawa for solving the Lippman-Schwinger equation for a local or nonlocal potential [Phys. Rev. A 30, 2274 (1984)] should be modified for the case of complex potentials. A nonlocal complex potential for the scattering of electrons from the helium atom is used as a numerical example.
