Bis(p-nitrobenzoate) Ester of cis-1,1-Dimethylsilacyclohexane-3,4-diol

The asymmetric unit of the title structure, 1,1-dimethyl-1-silacyclohexane-3,4-diyl bis(4-nitrobenzoate), consists of four independent C₂₁H₂₂N₂O₈Si molecules which show only minor differences in conformation. The silacyclohexane ring adopts a distorted chair conformation, with the C4 substituent axial and the C3 substituent equatorial.
