Abstract
Considers the forces that are likely to influence higher education in the UK in the late 1990s. The context is the HEFCE document, Review of Higher Education: Submission by the Higher Education Funding Council for England,published in February 1995. Outlines the current and future developments in higher education and their implications. Considers the likely impact on education in library and information studies.
