Abstract

A survey was conducted in India to try to understand the factors that affect the productivity of Indian organisations. The perceptions of managers were sought and it is believed that more productive organisations would result from involving managers in the creation, design and maintenance of systems. Productivity is interpreted as creating maximum welfare for the maximum number of employees.
