Some Scientific Results of the XXIV International Conference DAMDID/RCDL-2022

Abstract—

The paper discusses the main scientific results of the XXIV International Conference “Data Analytics and Management in Data Intensive Domains” DAMDID/RCDL-2022, held on October 4–7, 2022, in St. Petersburg, Russia. A historical review of the development of the conference was carried out. Motivation, goals of the conference, main areas of the subject, related conferences, and held associated events are considered. The conference program of the current year is characterized, including the topics of invited and sectional reports. Conclusions are drawn on the basis of the results of the analysis of the scientific contribution of the conference. Attached is a list of papers selected by the conference program committee for a special issue of the journal. The papers relate to areas of data integration, data analysis in astronomy and biomedicine, machine learning applications, image analysis and processing, and information extraction from texts.

Dmitry Ilyich Muromtsev. Born September 27, 1976. Candidate of Science in Engineering, Head of the Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing and Semantic Technologies at ITMO University. Graduated from the Faculty of Technical Cybernetics of St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University (1999) and postgraduate studies at St. Petersburg ITMO State University (2003). He has many years of experience in managing the development and implementation of artificial intelligence systems. He has more than 100 scientific papers in various Russian and international publications, as well as textbooks on intelligent systems. Teaches courses on ontologies and knowledge graphs. Research interests: knowledge graphs, intelligent systems, knowledge engineering, knowledge representation models, intelligent systems design.

He has an Award from the Government of St. Petersburg for outstanding achievements in science and education (certificate no. 272) and a Medal for devotion to science (diploma no. 232). He is an independent reviewer for a number of journals and many conferences.

Sergey Alexandrovich Stupnikov. Born May 4, 1978. In 2000 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University with a degree in mathematics and applied mathematics. In 2006, he received a candidate of science degree in theoretical foundations of informatics from the Institute of Informatics Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Since 2000, he has been working at the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of Department, Leading Researcher at the Federal Research Center “Computer Science and Control” of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russian Federation.

The main areas of scientific activity: the development of methods and tools for integrating heterogeneous data, the definition of formal semantics, mappings and transformations of various data models, formal verification of data integration, solving scientific problems at the intersection of computer science and data intensive domains, development of methods and tools to support research infrastructures.

Author and coauthor of more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, RSCI. Scopus: 56 publications, 139 citations in 82 papers, h-index of 7. RSCI: 97 publications, 480 citations, h-index of 8. Participated with reports in 40 scientific international and Russian conferences.

Since 2018, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee and Cochair of the Program Committee of the conferences “Data Analytics and Management in Data Intensive Areas” DAMDID/RCDL, member of the steering committee of the ADBIS conference, member of the program committees of the conferences ADBIS, DATA, I-ESA, SEIM, APSSE. Since 2015, head of the scientific seminar of the Moscow section of ACM SIGMOD; since 2018, head of the section.

Since 2009, an employee of the Moscow State University, gives lectures on object databases and virtual and materialized data integration within the master’s programs of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. Since 2018, Deputy Head of the program “Big Data: Infrastructures and Methods for Solving Problems.” Conducts a special seminar of the program and supervises dissertations of masters and graduate students of Moscow State University and the Federal Research Center “Computer Science and Control” of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
