Barring criminality, a well paid job with excellent prospects and public regard is pretty much guaranteed for a doctor in Britain. Given this, it is no wonder that the application for jobs in the final year is a calm, relaxed affair where everyone behaves courteously to their colleagues and would not consider any unethical or underhand behaviour.
