Abstract

As the result of X-ray calibration based on the internal standard method, the mineral composition of the sedimentary rocks of oil fields in Hokkaido, northwestern Honshu and Kanto area, Japan has become clear. The writer briefly explains the mineral composition of each formation and describes the specific mineralogical character of these formations in each area.
