Abstract.

We have studied the fusion cross section, evaporation residue cross secion, compound nucleus formation probability (\(P_{CN}\)) and survival probability (\(P_{sur}\)) of different projectile target combinations to synthesize the superheavy element Z=124. Hence, we have identified the most probable projectile-target combination to synthesize the superheavy element Z = 124 . To synthesize the superheavy element Z=124, the most probable projectile target combinations are Kr+Ra, Ni+Cm, Se+Th, Ge+U and Zn+Pu. We hope that our predictions may be a guide for the future experiments in the synthesis of superheavy nuclei Z=124.
