An algorithm for sizing software products

Abstract

This paper reports on efforts to develop a cost forecasting scheme based on a Function Metric called System BANG. A Function Metric is a quantifiable indication of system system size and complexity derived directly from a formal statement of system requirement. Conclusions from a small sample of projects are presented.
