Abstract

Rice Varieties : Bluebonnet, IR 8, Jhona 349 and Magnolia responded quite differently to salinization. Each character showed a differential reaction to salinity. Three types of sterility i.e. cluster, delayed, and random caused by salinization could be classified. Regarding panicle weight and seed setting percentage, which are important from the agronomic standpoint, Jhona 349 was relatively the most resistant, while Magnolia the least.
