Experimental Demonstration of Optical Wireless Personal Area Communication System Supporting Multiple Users

Abstract

An optical wireless personal area communication system is experimentally demonstrated based on 16-CAP modulation combined with TDM for multi-user function. 4 Gb/s data transmission with an average BER < 10−4 for up to 10 users can be achieved at 2 m distance.
