This review provides information on the possibilities of immunochemical methods(ELISA and immunochromatographic variants) in determination of quantitative concentration of the human epidermal growth factor – a clinical, diagnostic, pathogenetic and prognostic marker of oncopathology associated with its overexpression. The general information on the structure of epidermal growth factor and its receptors and the mechanism of their interaction in the process of phosphorylation of proteins was elucidated.

Keywords

Enzyme immunoassay, immunochromatographic assay, epidermal growth factor, oncopathology, practical usage.
