A technique for peroxidase activity determination in nasal lavage and saliva in patients with allergic rhinitis is described.
An initially increased level of peroxidase activity in secrets (nasal lavage and saliva) in patients with allergic rhinitis in comparison with the control group was found, which can be used in the diagnosis of allergy.
The method for peroxidase activity evaluation in nasal lavage and saliva can be used to diagnose allergic rhinitis. Diagnostic levels of peroxidase activity in nasal lavage and saliva (more than 1.011 and 1.061, respectively) may be criteria for neutrophil hypersensitivity.
