Modern approaches to understanding immunopathogenesis of scleroderma (review)

The review presents the main immunopathogenetic characteristics of different cleroderma forms. The results of the research of local innate immunity were presented. The evidence that micro-RNA levels may be important biomarkers of the severity of sclerosis was demonstrated. The most important autoantibodies were assessed. The immunologic differences between children and adults were explained. The different predisposing factors to oncopathology in scleroderma patients were discussed.
