Abstract
Abstract
Shorter product life cycles and the continuing trend towards individualization of production goods with ever smaller batch sizes lead to the need for a recurring process involving the selection and configuration of production systems. Production systems are thereby assembled from a large number of complex individual machines and components based on product requirements, which leads to a high integration effort. This paper therefore presents an approach for a user-specific, modelbased selection of machines and systems, which was developed in the context of a German-Chinese Industry 4.0 research project.
