Abstract

Tests of seven T-beams that had a part of their flange reinforcement replaced by prestressed concrete prisms are reported in this paper. The presence of the prestressed concrete prisms increased the bending  moment at negative moment regions before first cracking and, after first cracks appeared, applied moments produced narrower cracks.
